Not Just Another Meeting

Effective use of time is key to being productive. One of the things that most of us dread is having to sit through another staff, production, or update meeting that lasts too long, brings no value, and is of no interest to me. So, as a manager or facilitator, how do you make the most out of a meeting that is effective, keeps the attendees engaged, and provides value, all within a reasonable amount of time?
